*2nd reading of series, 1st review*This one didn't resonate with me like the others. Even though he denied it hard, Bryson was desperate to be in a relationship. Milo was just desperate to hide from his father. It never felt like true love to me, it felt more like "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours, win-win situation" type deal. They rush and get married, then Milo gets knocked up, and Bryson misses the entire pregnancy because Milo's dad finds him anyway and kidnaps him. They never really got to know each other because shortly before their first date, Bryson had been to afraid to even speak to Milo. There's an HEA/HFN but it doesn't feel real. I was left with questions: when Milo was kidnapped, his rich father really couldn't hide Milo anywhere else but in a 3rd world country? Were the guys who held and beat Milo ever dealt with? Why wasn't Milo's dad ever brought to justice for kidnapping or any other crimes? Why couldn't the bear crew kill the bounty hunter who snitched on Milo? He wouldn't have been their first victim in this series.

Cowboy Rescue [Bear County 4] Siren Publishing The Lynn Hagen ManLove Collection Bear County series edition by Lynn Hagen Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Omg this was another great book I Loved it so much I can't wait to read the next one. I hope it's really soon and don't have long to wait.
The whole series is great - Milo and Bryson are great characters and the storyline is a good one - Milo's father should be put in a dark cell and the keys thrown away (not that I'm having evil thoughts or anything) ). Great ending
Have been on the edge of life so long that its hard to become part of Society again. Then there's a big secret they have to keep for survival to continue.
Lynn Hagen writes great books and this series is one of them. You can read in as a stand alone or in order. But if you read it in order you do get a better sense of all the background characters and their history. It makes each book a bit more enjoyable. But as far as a shifter romance novel series, this is one of my favorites and one that I would recommend to friends and that is in the re-read pile.
This is the fourth and probably last book about men on the Triple B ranch.
Bryson who has watched his partners and friends to find their mates and get children, is wanting the same happiness for himself.
Then he meets Milo, a man running from his father. Milo’s mighty and rich father intends to micromanage his son’s life, all the way down to whom he should marry. Milo is reluctant to give in for his attraction to Bryson, but when his secret is disclosed, he consents to a hasty marriage, hoping that this will stop his father when (not if!) he discovers Milo whereabouts. Unfortunately there is a traitor close to Milo who (for money, of course) informs Milo’s father where to find Milo. Before Bryson and Milo has had a chance to sort out their problems (Bryson’s being a bear shifter is a big part of this), Milo is snatched away to an unknown destiny. I am not going to spoil the reading for others, so I will not tell where to and what happens there, but you are right to expect a HEA.
I feel that the author was too much in a hurry, or perhaps the person editing this story had done poor job. There are discrepancies like describing Bryson’s truck first as red-and-black and couple of pages later as blue, or telling us about the five children in the house and later mentioning – correctly – that they are six. Also misspellings like “as could as February” can be found. In a short story as this one the flaws are quite obvious.
Overall I enjoyed this story. The story line was interesting, but for some of the plot themes it should have been longer.
I didn't understand how Milo could 'be beaten to a pulp' by his captors yet remain pregnant. (Yes this book has mpreg). Along that same thought is why didn't Milo tell Bryson about the abuse?
The biggest thing for me was Milo's father wasn't confronted or caught. He got away with kidnapping his son. Now maybe another story follows up on this theme where justice is served . . . But it should have come in this book. It was odd that Bryson's friends were looking into anything and everything to frame the guy, but they forgot what was right under their noses. This guy kidnapped his son. They can get him for that.
The story was well written and a good continuation of the series. Unfortunately the relationship with Bryson and Milo was too new to be convincing and then the kidnapping. Suddenly they're thrust into fatherhood and they barely know each other. - Dan's Wife
Two of my favorite types of men (big & shy and small & klutzy) see each other and despite each being attracted to the other, their lack of self confidence, clumsiness, insecurities & ineptitude conspire to keep them apart. When one finally finds his courage a very sweet romance commences until the secret past of the other threatens to stop their mutual awakening latent passion. A great deal occurs in this story that made it even enjoyable and exciting.
Running away from a tyrannical powerful father vowing retribution if his son ignored his demands, affliction of as much pain & suffering as possible, helpful neighbor, marriage of convenience, picturesque panoramic view, wary man, abducting, bear not caring if he found his mate, henchmen, disappointment and anger at best friends, shocking male pregnancy, dramatic rescue....you're a what?!!
I really liked the fourth book in this series. I heard that there were more books in the series coming to soon, which while fantastic begs the question who will they be focusing on? Maybe one of the men introduced at the end of this book? Well we shall soon see...I for one can't wait!
